Mr. Acaye Vincent 72years is a member of Toro clan. His story begins from Owiny Amola who was a prince at the Omukama of Toro's court. After having a serious dispute of succession of power Owiny fled with a section of people who supported him. It is said that he settled on an island in lake Albert. It is also said that there was very heavy rain and the island began to move- almost like a boat. The island moved up to the shore of the lake at a place called Opari.Owiny and his people moved into Acholiland. They first settled at Latoro. They went northwards to Atoro then to Ojigu where they were received by Akako and Pagoro clans. Owiny;s group became superior-- they were larger in number compared to the other tweo clans together, they had better weapons than their hosts. Leadership was given to them but intermarriages were not stopped.

These people lived happily until the British interrupted their peaceful life. Toro and their allied clans were not taken to Gulu. They were brought to Keyo hill. When the British finally allowed people to go back, Toro clan members remained around Pagak school, some moved to Twora Akomo. Fear of witchcraft and lightning made some of them to leave Twora Akomo and moved to Wii Lugwang in Kaladima while others moved to Cokke stream.
